Pudding Lane Christmas Crackers, Traditional British 12 ea

Contents: 12 Crackers each containing a novelty, hat, motto and snap. History of the Cracker: Thomas J. Smith, a London candy maker, invented crackers in 1847. To differentiate his sweets from competitors, he wrapped them in a twist of paper on which he printed mottoes and love notes. Inspired by the crackling of wood in a fireplace, he added a crackle sound. When bon bon sales slumped, he replaced his confections with small gifts. Later, his son, Walter Smith, introduced paper hats, unique designs and clever gifts for the same reason his father did - to differentiate his product from copycat manufacturers. Contains products form more than one country. All cracker boxes are made up of 70% recycled board. CE listed (refers to toy content only). Made in China.
