Pedroncelli Merlot, Bench Vineyards, 2000

Special Vineyard Selection. In Geyserville since 1927. Dry Creek Valley Sonoma County. The Pedroncelli family is one of the early grape growing settlers in Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley. Patiently working the soil and tending their vines since 1927, few can match their hands-on appreciation for what it takes to produce great wine grapes. That's why Pedroncelli's rich history of 73 vintages ensures absolute quality. Bench Vineyards describes vines planted near the valley floor, bordering the hillsides. They are identified by soils with sloped drainage and gravelly or rocky aggregate. This allows the vines root system to spread to a greater depth and width, laying a solid foundation. Bench Vineyards produce grapes with added intensity and flavor. Alc. 13.5% by Vol.
